Board and Train Dog Training in Maine

Your dog’s training needs to hold up beyond a quiet room. Diamond K9 offers home-based board and train in Biddeford, Maine, combining daily professional training with instruction for the person who matters most when the program ends: you.

Our programs work on obedience, leash manners, off-leash skills, and, where appropriate, behavior challenges. We help you choose a program based on your dog’s age, behavior, and the changes you need in everyday life.

Daily Training in a Home Environment

Your dog stays in a normal home setting while training becomes part of the day. This gives us time to work on skills, observe your dog’s responses, and adjust the training to the individual rather than treating every dog the same.

E-collar communication is part of these programs. We also teach you how to use your dog’s training at home; the handoff is not simply a pickup appointment.

Compare Our Board and Train Programs

Goal Digger: Two-Week Board and Train

Ages: 6 months–4 years
Length: Two weeks
Price: $1,897, including training tools and two owner sessions

Goal Digger is our entry-level e-collar program for dogs that need an obedience foundation and help with everyday nuisance behaviors. Training covers sit, down, place, come, and polite leash walking, while beginning the foundation for off-leash work.

Important: This program is for dogs with minimal behavioral issues. It is not suitable for anxiety, fearfulness, aggression, or leash reactivity.

You receive a detailed go-home lesson and a follow-up lesson several weeks later, totaling approximately three to four hours of owner instruction.

Diamond Elite: Three- or Four-Week Board and Train

Ages: 6 months–9 years

Diamond Elite allows more time to strengthen obedience, develop e-collar communication, and work on your dog’s individual needs. The longer stay also creates room for behavior work involving issues such as reactivity and anxiety.

Depending on the dog, training may include additional skills such as off-leash heel and “out,” which asks the dog to release a resource. Each dog’s training is tailored to the skills and behavior that need attention.

  • Three weeks: $2,697. Includes training tools and two owner sessions.
  • Four weeks: $3,497. Includes training tools and three owner sessions.

Starting With a Younger Puppy?

For puppies ages 3–5 months, Puppy Now and Later combines an early foundation stay with a longer return visit as your puppy matures. Explore our puppy training program for the schedule, goals, and price.

Bringing the Training Home

At the end of the stay, we work with you during an in-depth go-home session. You learn how to communicate with your dog, practice the skills, and continue the routines that support the training.

The owner sessions included with your chosen program are part of the process, not an optional extra. Consistent follow-through at home remains important after your dog leaves us.
