Boarding

This service is for E-Collar™ Graduates Only!

  1. Reach out to me to inquire about your desired boarding dates.
    You might want to check the pinned Facebook post first, which lists all dates I’m currently unavailable.
  2. Let me know if you’d like AM (10-11) or PM (4-6) exchanges.
  3. I will confirm and book you if I’m available.
  4. I will need your dog, their E-Collar™, their prong collar, and their food.

    • I will not walk a dog that doesn’t have a prong collar. You ought to be using one, too.
    • Please pack a little extra food to be safe!
  5. You are welcome to send treats and toys.
    It’s helpful if you can write their name on their belongings, if possible.
    Do not send blankets, beds, bowls, or chargers.
    I’m happy to provide a blanket if they aren’t blanket eaters.
  6. Your dog will be dropped off and picked up at the training center:
    432 Elm St, Biddeford, ME, Suite E.
    Park in the front lot and use the wooden steps off to the left.
  7. The cost is $50/night for cash/check payments.
    Payment can be made at drop-off or pick-up.
    If you pay through Venmo or PayPal, the cost is $52.50/night.
    Checks need to be made out to Diamond K9.
  8. I will have you sign the boarding waiver at drop-off.
    It will ask if you want to authorize vet attention if needed and what dollar amount (if any) you authorize at the vet, assuming I cannot reach you.
  9. I am happy to administer medications if needed, as long as it’s disclosed at drop-off.
    Other medical care, wound care, etc., is approved on a case-by-case basis.
  10. I do NOT require:

    • Spay/neuter
    • Kennel cough vaccine
    • Flea/tick preventative

    I DO require:

    • Rabies vaccine
    • Distemper/parvo vaccine

    If I have received proof of required vaccines in the past, I do not need them again.

  11. If I am going out of town the day after your dog’s boarding, I require a $200 security deposit and an emergency pick-up contact in case you don’t return on the scheduled day to pick up your dog.
    Things happen! The deposit is fully refunded at pick-up as long as somebody picks up your dog on the scheduled day/time.

Additional Information

  • I do not require a deposit to book unless your pick-up day is a mandatory pick-up day (usually because I’m leaving town the next day).
  • There is no fee if you cancel your boarding! However, boarding reservations made more than 90 days out are tentative until within the 90-day window. This means I will book you to reserve a spot in case I fill up, but I can’t actually guarantee my availability outside of 90 days.
  • When you book boarding, please let me know your preferred drop-off and pick-up window—AM (10-11) or PM (4-6).
    I realize it might be far away, but I can’t possibly plan to be available if I don’t know what time.
    If you don’t book a window when you initially book your boarding, then you will have to drop off/pick up when I’m available, and that might not be convenient for you.
    The schedule can fill up pretty far in advance, limiting my flexibility.
  • You may arrive anytime within that window. I currently do not do windows on Mondays; rather, we schedule on a case-by-case basis.
