The Use Of Obedience, Behavior Mod, And State Of Mind Work With Your Dog
I love this episode, guys. I’m talking about all the amazing things you can do for you and your dog through training. This might be as simple as teaching sit or it might be using sit as a way to help your dog overcome fear or it might be as in depth as using e-collar skills to help your dog avert their gaze from a trigger that makes them uncomfortable.
This is the whole reason that we keep some dogs longer. Some dogs need more state of mind work, and this is much different than basic obedience. You guys, I’m such a behavior nerd! And I’m so excited to tell you about the three main categories (at least in my mind) in dog training, and how they are different, but also how they overlap, and how you can use them to really truly help your dog feel differently!
Whether your dog is just a little excitable or highly reactive or has fear or aggression issues. These things are how we cultivate change across the board. We also touch on use of the “f” word (force) to help your dog.
